Diana was born the fifth daughter of a family of seven children in Celico, Cosenza, Italy. From a young age the artists Leonardo Da Vinci and August Renoir inspired her. "Their beautiful interpretation of time and place with their dazzling display of color swirling and dancing on the canvas intrigued and inspired me. I was in awe of how each artist explored the unknown, fearlessly delving into many aspects of life, trying to make it more understandable, more beautiful." Her aspiration was to attain just a small piece of what they possessed: the ability to discover and create. Eagerly she waited for an opportunity to learn more about the arts.

Getting caught up in the challenges of life, busy with work and raising a family, left Diana with little time to pursue her passion for the arts. It wasn't until her sons grew older that she finally had an opportunity to realize her dream. Early 1999, she learned about the Fine Arts Certificate Program at the University of Alberta and quickly enrolled. At first Diana was somewhat hesitant to dip her brush in paint, but she enjoyed the experience. The years quickly passed and with the completion of the fine art program she gained confidence and experience to continue painting.

Diana's style is contemporary and unique. While painting mainly in oils she stretches her imagination and adds aluminum foil, tin and acrylics to her paintings to give her a juxtaposition of effects. Her work has been exhibited at the U of A Fine Art Gallery and at the Alberta Legislature exhibition hall.
She is a member of Visaul Arts Association (VAA) and the Edmonton Art Club (EAC).

Diana searches for inspiration from Alberta's landscape.
" My hope is to continue to feed my creativity with the exploration of my surroundings; to continue to discover and create."
