I like to paint in watercolors or acrylics on board, acrylics on canvas, and also mixed media on paper and canvas and collage on canvas.
Art Training: From 1959 to 1976, classes in art at the Edmonton Art Gallery, University of Alberta Extension Department. 1978 to 1981 private classes from Jean Richards in watercolors of the prairies. From 1985 to 2001 numerous workshops with well known artists such as George Weber, Brian Ateyo, Harold Olsen, and Kiff Holand. 2002 – acrylic painting classes at the Extension Department of the University of Alberta. 2008 –
Registered in the Certificate Program at the Extension Department of the U. of A.
Memberships: S.W.C.A. – Society of Western Canadian Artists (formerly Federation of Canadian Artists) – Active Member since 1986, W.E.C.AN. – Where Edmonton Community Artist Network since 1989, Edmonton Art Club since 1995, and Visual Artists Association of Alberta since 2003.

Awards: 1997 – received 2nd Place for a watercolor of an orchid in the amateur division of the Orchid Society’s Annual Show at the Muttart Conservatory. 2008 - $1,000 Mildred Nelson Scholarship from the Edmonton Art Club. Collections: Various private collections of Edmontonians and tourists to Edmonton.
