I was born in Edmonton and have spent most of my life here.Drawing and painting have long been a hobby, with flowers being special favorites. Like many Edmontonians,
I find their vibrant colors bring pleasure during our long dark winters. I am particularly attracted to the flow and simplicity of Chinese painting.

Due to other responsibilities I needed to wait until retirement to begin painting seriously. I have raised four children and now have six grandchildren. As well, I worked as a nurse with the Palliative Home Care Program for many years.

I have taken both credit and certificate Art Courses at the University of Alberta, including drawing, painting,design and art history. Also, I have attended classes and work shops with many local watercolor artists - spending several years with traditional Chinese painters.

I am beginning to experiment with acrylics, but my media of choice remains watercolors. I enjoy the challenge of landscapes and portraits but I still gravitate to to the beauty of flowers.

Several of my paintings are on display at a local gallery; they can also be found in the homes of family and friends.
